About Me
I graduated with a media certificate in Complete Make-up Artistry in 2014 from the prestigious Delamar Academy of Makeup. I have been steadily working within the industry since, with the majority of my work concentrated in the film and tv industries, particularly within narrative and auteur film. I am a qualified production makeup artist and I have gained excellent experience on a manifold of diverse productions, with reliable skills in pre-shoot prep, including script and schedule breakdown, departmental budgeting, team hiring, and researching and designing to suit a particular brief and budget; particularly within small budgets and tight schedules. I am highly organised and efficient in the running of my department and implement a high standard of work whilst on location and on set, maintaining continuity using an organised system, being prepared for quick changes, as well as working effectively with all on-set departments.
I'm a dynamic artist with a creative flair and a love for cinema that is reflected in my work. Enjoying film and immersing myself in the love of storytelling for the screen has always been a passion of mine. I love every aspect of what it takes to bring a film together and I’m proud of every production I have worked on, no matter how big or small it was. I’ve learned something from every one of them, and harnessing my skills to bring the narrative to life through makeup is a challenge I relish as soon as I’m brought on board. I was trained to a high-standard by leading industry professionals who helped shape me into a skilled, proficient and well-rounded makeup and hair artist. I am accomplished in varying aspects of makeup and hair, from special effects makeup to wig work, and after six plus years in the industry I have proved myself as an asset on set; someone who is a team-player with a positive work ethic and a can do attitude; both reliable and dependable and who is able to go the extra mile for my team and for my clients, no matter the level I'm working at.
As well as designing on small productions, I also work as a junior and daily within crowd teams where duties include in the helping of the day-to-day running of the makeup department, helping with administration, working to a HOD’s specifications and design, maintaining continuity, working as a stand-by on large sets and working quickly and efficiently to a production's strict shooting schedule. I am consistent in upskilling myself with new training and learning and I'm always looking to expand and diversify my network through collaboration and assisting work. I am delighted to have been selected for the inaugural first year of the Bafta Connect programme, having previously been a part of the BFI Network X Bafta Crew programme from 2020-2021, a programme designed to support new and emerging talent within the film industry.
